Routes
1. Skilled Migrant Category (residence). New Zealand’s points-based residence route, recently expanded: alongside the points pathway there are now pathways recognising substantial skilled work experience and qualified tradespeople and technicians — a significant opening for experienced Zimbabweans who lack degrees but not skill. 2. Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV). The main employer-sponsored work visa: a job offer from an accredited New Zealand employer at the required wage. For most Zimbabweans this is the realistic first step, with residence following via the skilled pathways.
